About Us
Dr George Angus is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. After graduating from The University of Sydney with Honours in 1986, he proceeded to residency and Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training which was completed at Royal North Shore Hospital, John Hunter Hospital (Newcastle) and in the United Kingdom. He has now returned to Newcastle and has an appointment at Newcastle Private Hospital, and also consults from the Newcastle Specialist Medical Centre next to the Newcastle Private Hospital.

Dr George Angus also earned a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound from the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine in 1994. Dr Angus uses the most up-to-date ultrasound equipment with 3D/4D capability. Dr Angus is credentialed for First Trimester Screening from the Fetal Medicine Foundation, Kings College Hospital, London and certified in Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopy and has been performing advanced laparoscopic surgery for 20 years.  
Dr George Angus has the skills, expertise and experience to offer the highest care in all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology. Patient management is individualised for the utmost care. This includes regard for individual concerns and providing up-to-date and detailed information for optimising care of individuals, their pregnancy and their family.

Dr Angus works with other health care professionals to optimise your treatment. Dr George Angus has also trained in the management of infertility and PAP smear treatments. Dr Angus has extensive experience in 'minimally invasive' techniques for management of endometriosis, bleeding problems, pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence. On a personal level Dr Angus is married to Wendy who is a local girl, and has 6 children - 5 daughters and a son, so he has enjoyed the personal experience of fatherhood from conception to adulthood.
